Introducing our SCMM 2013 supporters - 02 - Rohan Batra (Dream Maker)

Introducing our SCMM 2013 supporters - 02 - Rohan Batra (Dream Maker)
After introducing Mr. Kabir Lumba in our last post, we're delighted to share that Rohan Batra, our Dream Maker in the SCMM 2011 has returned as a Dream Maker for LIFE Trust in the SCMM 2013! In the words of the man himself: "Different runners have different reasons for racing, I find that supporting a cause that is close to my heart is the best kind of motivation." My name is Rohan Batra and I have been a runner for three years. In those three years I have learnt one important lesson; the purpose of running, in the words of Bill Bowerman, "isn't to win the race; it's to test the limits of the human heart". I chose to run for LIFE Trust because it is an effective organisation that delivers tangible and transparent results in its activities. It is with this confidence that I when I race for LIFE Trust, I know I am having a direct effect upon someone's life. To have an NGO like LIFE Trust, to whom I have made a promise, provides me the motivation I need to train hard with discipline and to test my own limits as a runner.   We feel proud and privileged to have a supporter like Rohan running for us! To support his efforts, you may make an online donation (entirely free from transaction fees) directly via the following link: http://www.unitedwaymumbai.org/donation.php?ngo_id=104&sup_id=1590 Thank you to everyone who's made Rohan's effort a success - his page will continue to accept donations until January 31st, so do spread the word!
